Kingdom
Kingdom is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara, which began serialization in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump in January 2006. As of January 2026, it has been collected into 78 tankōbon volumes and has over 120 million copies in circulation. The story provides a fictionalized account of China's Warring States period, following the war orphan Xin. His narrative begins in a poor Qin village with a dream of becoming a great general. After his best friend's life is cut short, Xin sets out to assist a deposed ruler and ascend through the ranks of the Qin kingdom's army, aiming to unify China for the first time in 500 years. Known for its Action, Drama, Military, and Historical themes, the series has also been adapted into a six-season anime television series by studio Pierrot.
